Future Memory – Portrait of Museum

Portrait of Museum / Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum

In the midst of the covid pandemic when no visitors could visit the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum, Fujimoto and Hersey in collaboration with Yuta Tokunaga (ARCHI HATCH), created a “Future Memory – Portrait of a Museum” so that people around the world could experience the museum through the fusion of creativity, memory and technology. By utilizing the high-resolution interactive 3D system “Matterport,” the entire exhibition space of the most visited museum in Japan was made available on August 6, 2020, the 75th anniversary of the atomic bombing.
